This past Sunday, December 13th, Hooter's took on the always tough CineLux Theatres Ice Hawks on Shark's Ice North Rink. Goalie Adrian Brazil took shots through warm ups and with 1 minute left, he exited the ice and came back shortly sporting his newly painted goalie helmet with the Hooter's Bay Area logo and Sharks secondary Shield Logo. As you would expect. The mask is awesome. Photos of the new mask can be seen by clicking HERE

Anyway back to the game. With The game started out as most against the Hawks do with good passing, back and forth play in the neutral zone, hard hits and very few penalties being called at first by the referees that should have been called. The game ended up being won by Hooter's 8-1 with dominate play from about the halfway point of the 1st period on. By the end of the game, a total of 12 penalties had finally been called (should have been doubled that if everything would have been called) with one Hawks player being given a Game Misconduct First To Intervene Penalty after a late boarding hit that was made on Hooter's Forward Donnie Devinny. The result of the hit brought the two teams on the ice for a meeting of the minds so to say. With this win, Hooter's is now tied for first place in the division with the Ice Pirates.

Hooter's and the rest of the league will now take a break for the holidays and will be back on the ice on Monday January, 4th against the Mooseknuckles at 9:30pm on Sharks Ice South Rink. Until then HAPPY HOLIDAYS EVERYONE!
